E - Permits - How to buy

E-Permits is a new system offered by the Missouri Department of Conservation for buying sport fishing, hunting and trapping permits online. You now have the added option AND convenience of being able to buy AND print actual permits from a personal computer for immediate use. Here's what you'll need to do: Go online to the Missouri Department of Conservation's website at MissouriConservation.org On the homepage, scroll down. On the right side of the page you'll want to click on the "permits" link. This will take you to the MDC permits page. Once again, scroll down... and on the right side select the "Buy Permits Online" link. Once here, you'll be able to follow step-by-step instructions on how to purchase your permit. This page outlines the 4 easy steps that you'll follow to complete the process. Once you've reviewed the process... continue scrolling down and select the "start now" button. Here you'll start by entering information about yourself. Select either "resident" or "non-resident" Then enter your Missouri conservation number. If you're unsure about your conservation number, there is a helpful link that provides detailed info on how to locate it. Your conservation number is the 9 digit number found on the back of your Heritage card. It can also be found at the top of your current hunting or fishing permit. If you have trouble locating your conservation number, you have the option of entering your Drivers License OR Social Security number. Next, enter your date of birth. Then click on the "Continue" button. On this next page you'll enter your name, address and other info not already provided including: social security number, drivers license number and state, phone number, your gender, height, weight, hair color, and eye color. Previously entered data may already be filled out for you. If so, you'll need to verify this information to make sure it is correct. And if you need to make changes... simply click inside any of the information boxes and make the necessary changes. Next, select the "Continue" button. Step 2 is selecting the permit or permits you want to buy. When you select a permit... ...another page pops up. Here you can add it to your shopping cart and either continue shopping for other permits... or go ahead and checkout. When you're ready to complete your purchase, click on the checkout button. Here you can review your permit selections and enter your payment information. Select which credit card you are paying with along with the cards information. When completed, select the "Process Purchase" button. Your purchase will then be processed... This may take a few minutes... Once the processing is complete... A new page will appear... taking you to your 4th and final step... Here you'll be able to view and print your permits. Simply click on the "Print Permit" button. A separate window will pop up. It includes a PDF file containing the final image of your permits. You can open and save the file to your computer if desired. Next, simply print your new e-Permit on standard paper. If you purchase several permits at the same time, they will ALL be printed during this process. The copy that you print will be the only permit you receive. The Department will not mail printed permits to internet customers. You can print multiple copies if you wish, so you'll have a spare in case you lose one. You may also come back to this page and reprint any purchases at no charge for 6 months. If you bought a deer or turkey permit, you must carry it with you while hunting.
