Today’s Tekzilla Daily is brought to you by Host Gator. Welcome to Tekzilla Daily,
I’m Veronica Belmont.
A while back, we covered a browser plug-in that provided a translate button for Facebook
posts. But, what if the text you need to translate isn’t in Facebook? Sure, you could copy
and paste into a website translator, but I have a faster method. It’s called Transmiti,
available at transmiti.org. Just download and run the program, and you’ll see a welcome
page that shows you how it works. Just select some text within any Windows program, hit
the Windows key and it will use Google Translate to find your translation. The translated text
will be copied to the clipboard at the same time, so you can easily use that text else
where. In the settings menu, you can choose which language is default or change the hotkey.
So, don’t get left in the dark when corresponding with non-English speakers, try Transmiti today.
Now, if you’ve got a tip you’d like to share with the rest of the world, let us know…Tekzilla@Revision3.com.
And as always, tekzilla.com… it’s the place to find more tips, tricks, product reviews
and how to’s.
