Hi, I'm Stan DeFreitas, Mr. Green Thumb. Zebra plant makes a nice indoor plant, or makes
a nice patio or porch plant. Now, the zebra plant has, as the name would imply, a beautiful
variegated foliage. Dark green leaf, with sort of this nice, creamy yellow venation,
and because of that, it has been a much loved plant in the right situation. I would plant
it with a bit more peat moss, and try to improve the soil. If it's in a real backyard soil
this plant will have problems. It really needs a good nursery mix. If you've got something
that's got some good peat moss, I mean probably eighty or ninety percent peat, this plant
seems to be happier and healthier. As far as watering, well, like many foliage plants,
it's going to need watering probably almost on a daily basis. Take your moisture meter
and check it. Make sure that it's staying on the moist side. Not necessarily wet, but
you certainly don't want to let this plant get too dry, or it's going to have problems.
