Derek Jeter Addresses The Rumor about Him Giving Gift Baskets to One - Night stands

Derek Jeter may be preparing to get married to his girlfriend Hannah Davis at some point in the near future, but in the past, he has been anything but a one-woman man. For a long time, Jeter’s relationships with various high-profile women were a constant source of fodder for the New York City tabloids. And you could argue that the most explosive report tied to DJ’s love life came back in December 2011 when the New York Post put out a story indicating that the Yankees shortstop had made a habit out of handing out gift baskets filled with his own memorabilia to his one-night stands. The report was so crazy that most people thought there was no way it couldn’t be true. “Derek has girls stay with him at his apartment in New York and then he gets them a car to take them home the next day,” a source told the Post. “Waiting in his car is a gift basket containing signed Jeter memorabilia, usually a signed baseball.” Jeter has actually addressed the rumor once before. He spoke with New York Magazine about it last year and laughed it off. But the subject of gift baskets came up again during Jeter's interview with Joe Buck for Buck's new show, Undeniable, and Jeter referred to the entire story as "dumb." “It was a gift basket of my own memorabilia,” he said. “It’s a dumb story, and you really have to be dumber to believe it."
