Hey guys I'm Alejandra and I'm Caroline and today we're making Sweet and Spicy Peanut
Butter Wings. So when i comes to football I'm just in it for the food. This is one of
my favorite things. These are wing we're going to toss in a sweet and spicy sauce with peanut
butter. It's going to be so so awesome. So the trick with these wings is that we're actually
going to make them in the oven. No deep frying necessary. They're still going to get super
super crispy. That's cool. So what was the thinking between the oven versus the frying.
Ease. Basically. I'm down with that. It's just so much easier. Now the way that you
get them crispy in the oven is you use some paper towel and you really got to pat these
super super dry. Get all that moisture off the chicken. You could help out if you'd like.
Yea. Get all that extra liquid off. So it takes a little bit of time but its worth it
because that's going to give you that really crispy skin. You don't have to worry about
the mess of frying. This is good too because you can make a really huge batch all at once
which means you can serve a crowd. That's great. Alright perfect. And I have a little
bit of salt and pepper here and I'm going to season that generously if you want to add
a little bit of olive oil. Just going to give it a nice little flavor base. It'll get crispy
and flavorful. I'm just going to use a spoon or spatula to toss these together. Get them
all coated with the oil and the seasonings. So basically just a simple roasting method?
Yep. Now I'm going to use a pair of tongs just to arrange them on the baking sheet so
what I did was I have two baking sheets and I covered them with some racks. And that's
going to help drain that fat and keep the skin nice and crispy. So we're not steaming
the meat here. Exactly. And when you do this you want to make sure you don't crowd the
pan so that's why I'm using two sheets instead of one. Just want to make sure there's plenty
of room all around that chicken so that heat air can circulate and get that skin really
really nice and crispy. How I'm doing here? You're doing a very good job. Thank you. We're
just going to take a little hand wash break and pop these in the oven and we'll come back
with some nice crispy chicken. We just got the chicken out of the oven. It is hot and
crispy. I mean how amazing does this look? Looks amazing. Smells like roast chicken.
You guys would love it. Yes. So we're just going to let this cool a little bit while
we work on our delicious sticky peanut butter sauce. So this is super easy. We're going
to start off with a little bit of butter. About half a stick and some honey. This is
a sweet and spicy sauce. All in there. I love the honey. It's a great way of sort of turning
this peanut butter into kind of a buffalo wing. Oh yea. Totally. It's going to be really
awesome. And we're also going to need a little bit of peanut butter. We're using The Heat
Is On which is really spicy and savory. Perfect for this sweet and spicy sauce. We're just
going to use about a half cup for that. And then just whisk this over some low heat. Just
want it all to kind of melt and come together to a nice smooth sauce. This is so easy I
think you could get the guys together before the game and it'd be so easy to bring together
even with a big group of friends. Yea. So there we go. See how nice and smooth that
is. Really really easy. So now its just a matter of coating these chicken in the sauce.
All I'm going to do is drop a few right into the pot here. Put that on low heat just so
it stays nice and warm. Pop it right into the pot. That's cool you're not even using
another bowl. Yea, no. It's as little bit of mess as possible. And then I just want
to put them right in the pan. Getting a little sauce everywhere. It's alright. Get them right
in the pan here. And I lined this with a little bit of foil because this is sticky so once
it goes back in the oven you really want to protect your pan. It's going to make for much
easier clean up. Yea with that honey I can imagine that it makes it so much easier without
all that char on the bottom. Oh totally. Before we used two pans because we really want to
keep the chicken kind of give it enough room to get crispy but for this it's just really
about heating that sauce and kind of setting that glaze so you can just put it all in one
pan. So these are fully cooked through now though? Yea the chicken is definitely fully
cooked and the sauce is cooked so it's really just about presentation. And getting that
nice crispiness. Getting it crisp again. Exactly. So now this is going to go into the oven just
for about 5 minutes. It's just to let that glaze set. And we're going to be ready to
eat. Alright. How sticky and delicious do these look. Just got them out of the oven.
They were in there for just about 5 minutes. Look at that glaze look at that sticky and
all shiny and delicious. Smells so good, like caramelized honey, with the peanut butter,
nice and toasty. You guys are going to love these. I can only image having like a group
of people over and digging in. Yea you should probably like double or triple this recipe
because its going to go fast. I'm just piling them all up on a plate. Because you know,
wings. They're supposed to be a little bit messy. Yea. Alrighty. And we can do a little
bit of garnish just a little fancy touch. I just like some green onions kind of sliced
up on top. There we go. Gorgeous. And now we get to try them. Looking forward to it.
I'm going for a drum. Alright me to. My favorite. That's good. Really good. Mmmhmm. Almost like
a satay chicken buffalo wing kind of combo, really delicious. Mhmm. Got a little sauce
here honey. So there you have it, Sweet and Spicy Peanut Butter Wings. Do you have a favorite
