How's your Aspen?
I'm at my sister's house, we're about to have fika.
Fika is when you sit down and have coffee and have little, um, yummy things to eat.
And you sit down and relax a bit. It's a Swedish thing. Fika.
Anyway. I'm filming a little bee that is on a popcorn plant, actually corn for popcorn.
And then they're also growing maize, which is cool. And I'm going to show some other stuff from their garden.
My sister's husband is an excellent gardener, and he has this awesome garden, every year.
And they have roses, and corn, and I'm not sure what else.
I know that they grow squash, too, just like I do, so they know a lot more.
I'm going to be asking her about the white spots today.
So I just was at my sister's, and, as I said, and had some fika,
and my mom and I are going to help, um, fix up one of her rooms, so that she can use it; so, hopefully that will work out well.
And don't worry, I am driving safely. I waited to videotape myself until I was on this loooong stretch of road,
where I don't have to think about turning or anything, and it's just autopilot right now, and I'm looking at the road as you can see.
So I'm being safe. Um, and now I'm going to some friends, and then later in the afternoon I'm going to have some time to myself,
and then my boyfriend is coming over tonight.
So I just wanted to say, that, I am blessed.
I am truly, truly, blessed, to have such an awesome loving family, and awesome friends, and awesome boyfriend,
and they all are supportive of me, and, um, back me up, like they 'got my back.' 'Yknow. So, it's just awesome.
And It just helps me deal with crap. Such as stuff goin' on with my job.
Since everything else in my life is awesome, it helps me to be so calm and zen and not in a crisis state.
And I am just so, so thankful. So thankful. 'Cuz I know not everybody has this.
And, I haven't had this in my whole life; I've had my family, but, being back here in Colorado, and um...
Being back here in Colorado, and - um
Being back here in Colorado, somehow, things have come together, to where I have an awesome support group,
or network, or net, or something. 'Yknow, that I didn't have when I moved to Des Moines, and I didn't have
before when I lived in Colorado, I had friends here and there, but it wasn't really a _network_ of support,
a community, that I have. That is awesome. I am so thankful for that.
Did I say I was so thankful for that yet? Cuz I am so thankful for that.
If that wasn't clear. Heh.
This is pretty. I've never been down this way before. Trying a different way, because I'm coming from a different direction.
And wow, I'm going through 'rich people' neighborhood. With gorgeous gorgeous lawns 'n stuff.
I mean, I don't know how much I can catch without lookin,' but, we'll see what I catch here.
All these beautiful trees, gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous.
Isn't that gorgeous?
