How to Create a Youtube Channel from Existing Channel 2013

Hi there. If you'd like to set up multiple YouTube channels on your one YouTube account, stay tuned and watch this short video, as I show you exactly how. Hi there, David Walsh here again, from DavidWalshOnLine.com and in this video, I'm gonna show you how to set up multiple channels on one YouTube account. Now, YouTube have updated the site recently and they now, allow you to create multiple channels on one YouTube account. This update has come from a lot of feedback from YouTubers, asking how to set up multiple channels on one account, rather than having to set up multiple accounts just to have a new channel. You can now have 50 channels on one YouTube account, which now saves you a lot of time setting up new channels if you want to. Now, if you want to have another channel or even multiple channels on your account, I'm gonna go over to a channel, right now, and show you exactly how to do so. Ok. So, here I am, in a dummy test account I've set up for this tutorial. So, I have set up my own channel, which you can see here at the top. I've also, already set up my own channel. Not that you need to do that, but it helps. So, in order to set up another channel on this channel, what I want to do is to go up to my name at the top. Now, if you've disconnected Google+ from your account, this won't be visible here. You'll just have to have these options here and this will not be changed in the settings. So, either way, what you need to do is to click on your name on the top right and then click on settings or YouTube settings, depending on what you've got. On the next page, you are going to see 'Create A New Channel', down on the bottom, left. So, all you need to do is click on that, then you give your channel a name, so, let's say 'Bob's Bananas On Line'. So, let's select a category, we'll go for 'Other'. Any new user can select it, then you click on 'I Agree To Page Terms'. Now, one thing you need to know, about adding another channel to your account is that you cannot disconnect Google+ from it, because you are adding a Google+ Pages Account to it. This is what you're using to set up your pound, your account even. It's a Google+ Pages Account, so, you cannot disconnect Google+ from it. So, if you're averse to Google+ then, this isn't for you. You need to go and set up a channel that is from scratch, using a separate email account. But, if Google+ doesn't make a blind difference to you, then you can use this method. So, once you've got all that selected, 'Bob's Bananas On Line'; obviously you'll pick your name, click on done, and you'll have to put in here your phone number to receive a message from them to verify the account. I'm gonna do that and come back once I have the verification code. Ok. So, I've received my verification code from Mr Google, Mr YouTube, click on continue, and now I have a new channel set up and it's telling me to 'Take A Tour Of Your New Channel', etc, etc. You can do that in your own time. You also, have the notice here, 'You Have Added A Channel To Your Account'. Now, what you will notice here, is this square icon. This is, it denotes even, that you have a Google+ Pages Account associated with your YouTube channel. So, if it was the previous one, which I'll show you again, if I switch account. If I go to; you'll see here, this icon here, it's a persons' head. We'll go to my channel, you'll see on the icon. So, you'll see, this is a blanked out person, whereas the other channel, is a square. So, and this denotes a Google+ pages channel; and if we go forward, this denotes a personal channel which is set up from scratch using an email account. As, I mentioned, you can set up 50 of these. So, all you need to do is, you've got 'All My Channels' here. So, you have your channels, once you've set one up, you'll have that link on your channels, 'All My Channels', and then you can go in and create more channels in here, and as I said, you can create 50 of them. So, that is how you set up a brand new channel, using your existing channel. You're able to do so, because of Google+ Pages, so you cannot disconnect them from your channel. Now, you will need to go in and set up your channel. If we go back here, we don't have a; if I go back to my channel. We don't have a custom URL here, so, you need to go in and set up your custom URL. All of that good stuff and set up your channel with your channel arch, icon, etc, etc. So, this isn't set up. Your custom URL or username, isn't set up automatically, you still have to go in and do that. And the links to all of them will be in the description, and also at the end of this video. Now, one thing you must do, is be careful about which channel you have, when you're uploading your videos. So, as you can see here, when I go to switch account, I've got my two channels, if you've got 2, 3, 4, 10 channels up here and you're uploading videos, make sure you're in the right channel when you're uploading your video, because you upload the wrong video to the wrong channel, it starts getting hundreds or thousands, or even tens of thousands of views, you can't move it over to a different channel. The only thing you can do is: A. Leave it there or B. Delete it from the wrong channel and put it on the right channel. You can't bring over any subscribers, likes, comments or anything like that from the video, so you need to make sure that you do put them on the right channel when you're uploading your videos. So, there you go, that's how you can have multiple channels on your one YouTube account. And you don't have to sign up for multiple YouTube accounts in order to do so. You do have to have a few extra things in order to have those channels, but you can easily get around them if you really want to.
