We're going to make Allam Pachadi / Ginger Pickle
Ingredients required to make Allam Pachadi / Ginger Pickle
Ginger, Dry Red Chillies, Jaggery, Mustard & Cumin Seeds, Coriander, Oil, Salt, Curry Leaves
Take a pan and heat 2 tsp of oil
Fry a cup of chopped ginger
Take the fried ginger into a bowl
Fry some dry red chilies and 1 tsp bengal gram
Add 1 tsp of white lentils
Add 1/2 tsp each of cumin & mustard seeds
Make sure to fry these ingredients in as little oil as possible
Take the fried ingredients aside
Add salt as required to the fried ingredients along with the ginger and grind them into a powder
Add some jaggery (as per taste) and some tamarind juice and grind again
Take the ground pickle into a serving bowl
