Hey, everybody!
It's Kristin from FashionStyleBeauty.
and I'm here to talk about date night makeup.
So this is a little primer of how to be pretty the night
you have to go out for that special evening
with that special someone.
The trick to good date night makeup as I've experienced it
is that you want to look like a little bit more
glamorous version of yourself.
Meaning that the stuff we would normally celebrate from
Fashion Week and magazines and smoky eyes and bold lips
and all the great trends kind of are lost on date night.
You really want to focus in on what makes you look like you
from across the dinner table but just a little prettier
and a little more glamorous and alluring.
So you want to go for a neutral smoky eye with a really
pretty lip that mimics your own lip color
but is a little more glamorous.
So we're gonna start with, I've already started
with a good foundation.
I love the CoverGirl and Olay 2-in-1 Tone Rehab, I'm a fan.
The Olay in the formulation gives you really great
hydration, it helps lock and seal in moisture,
which is really important, you want your skin to be dewy,
you want your skin to be youthful.
If it has that dry appearance, it can look dull and then
it looks like you're wearing makeup which you don't want.
I've also gone ahead and put a little bit of concealer under
the eye so it gives you that beautiful even appearance
and then one of my favorite tricks in the world
is to add a luminizer which is really pretty.
It's kind of like walking around with your own lighting crew,
it's really pretty.
You basically put it right around the crease around
the eye, like this, and it's such a great product because
it's literally like, it draws a beautiful, soft lighting
right around the eye, it's such a great trick.
If you don't have a luminizer you can add a little bit, a tiny
bit of champagne or a champagne pearl eyeshadow to your
foundation or your concealer, either, and dot it around.
It'll kind of give you about the same effect.
You want to go for a really pretty neutral smoky eye.
I love the CoverGirl Smoky Shadow Blast, I like the browns
in this one, this is really pretty because it just sort of
gives you a beautiful tonal eye makeup look.
So you want to go in the orb with the cream color and then
you want to emphasize and smoke it out with the angle tip
which is slightly darker.
So you want to draw the line out and then into the crease
and then out and then into the crease and then you just
blend with your finger so it's really quick and really easy.
And then I like to add a little bit of definition.
I feel like you want to make your eyes pop so I use Liquiline
Blast, I love this eyeliner, it stays put which is important
because you don't want to look like your eyeliner is literally
bleeding down your face as you're in the middle
of the dinner table.
You basically place a little bit along the bottom lash line
and then around the top, top lash line,
and then a little around the bottom.
And then the beautiful thing about this product is it has
a blender tip so you basically want to blend that in
and actually I should blend my eye in a little more.
And you can do this with a cotton swab
or a blending brush if you like.
I use my fingers because I just like to use my fingers
and to me it gives it a more natural look.
You want to go for a great cream blush,
I like cream blushes at this point.
I already have on a great mascara, I have on CoverGirl
LashBlast Fusion because I love it for camera work,
I love it for date night, I love it, love it period.
So you want to use a good cream blush,
put it right on the apples of your cheeks.
If you ever want to know what a great blush color is,
you want to mimic the color of the inside of your lip.
That's the best match so if you can find that color,
that's great.
Cream, again, gives you that really pretty, dewy,
youthful complexion.
You put it on the apples, you work it out.
And then your final touch is a really pretty lipstick.
This is CoverGirl LipPerfection in Soul Mate,
I mean, you had to go with Soul Mate, right?
It's a beautiful pink.
I'm obsessed with this color.
You just put a little on and you're done.
And that's date night makeup so enjoy and have a good time,
that's what date night's for.
Have fun. Bye.
