WERE OFFICIALLY ALLOWED TO STAY ON ACTIVE DUTY NAVY, AND THEY JUST, THEY DIDN'T REALLY
KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH US, SO THEY FORMED THIS OFFICE TO KIND OF GUIDE THE DIRECTION OF WHERE
WOMEN WOULD SERVE."
TODAY THE OFFICE MONITORS GENDER TRENDS INCLUDING RECRUITING, RETENTION, PARENTHOOD, CLASSIFICATION,
AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT FOR THE WOMEN THAT MAKE UP NEARLY EIGHTEEN PERCENT OF THE NAVY'S
TOTAL FORCE.
