Hi, guys.
Welcome to Nursing.org.
My name is Caroline Porter Thomas from the YouTube channel
EmpoweRN.
We are going over our do's and don'ts of nursing school
series.
There are five total videos.
And this is the second one.
So let's get right into it.
So my second tip for you guys is to go to lecture to review.
Do not go to lecture to learn.
I know you're like, what?
Why wouldn't I go to lecture to learn.
So the thing is because there's so much content in nursing
school, if you go to lecture and you
don't understand anything that's going on,
you're really going to be behind.
Because, the thing is, there is just so much content that
needs to be learned that you can't have,
when you're going to your lecture,
it all be fresh material.
With that being said, even just a little,
teeny, tiny bit of reviewing goes a long way.
So one thing that I do talk about a lot,
and I will talk about this in another series,
is doing underlining.
So what I would do is underline the bold words, and then
the bold words and definitions, and then
the chapters and titles.
And even just doing that, recognizing
a few words that were taught in the lecture, helped out a lot.
Also, reviewing a few NCLEX style questions,
going over the topics, really, really helps out a lot.
So when you go to your lecture, you
want to go there with a base knowledge of what
the lecture is going to be on.
And that way, when the teacher does go over certain topics,
it will be more like a review.
And it's really almost necessary.
I really hope that you take this tip to heart,
because it really changed my life when I started doing this.
All right guys, I really hope you liked that tip.
I really hope you come back for the next videos,
especially the third one, which is going to be next.
So remember, stay focused, stay driven, and come back
to Nursing.org.
