also but there've been these let's put out that the remained bumper-sticker
there's there's bumper sticker that's been floating around which we were
trying to track down where it came from which says don't renamed
in twenty twelve minutes and entitled bomb a bumper sticker in case you don't
know what it refers to it refers to president obama being black do i do i
need to explain that i think maybe i did nor um...
i think our our listeners are our views probably understand more the purveyor is
an individual named policy-making she is sticking to the story that it's just not
a racist bumper-sticker looks
writing for forbes roger friedman interviewed policy
and miss smith is from haynes at huntsville georgia ceased she says
neither she
noticed a terrorist
and um... that seems like a little bit of stretch now if you look at the
dictionary the n_-word is obviously raised
and if you actually look at dictionary dot com which roger friedman did in his
forbes article it says the word is now probably the most offensive word in
english if they grieve offensive missus increased markedly in recent years i
would agree with that you agree agri
and miss smith appears to have removed the bumper sticker from her site now if
you go to the anti-obama section of the website which um... is is her number
three best seller you only see a sticker that says i was anti-obama before it was
cool
clever i guess i don't know
then she goes on to argue that president obama is in even black but rather a
mixture of race there's still really great argument but i hear from people
when they wanna indicate that even though they don't like the president and
they make overtly racist arguments against them that they're not racist
number one is our favorite lewis what is it on i've black friends i would like
friends or black my best friends are black which ms smith does make
uh... and number two is
all bomb a is only half black therefore comments referencing his race can be
racist
because let's be honest he's halfway also so by making fun of him
in a way that refers to black people
uh... i thought he's also white it's not a bike and even
connect the dots on it honestly don't know if there are no dots
but that is a file an issue that i have kids around me that are black kids
i called on my own kids i've helped black families to guide them in the
right direction we like the laugh and have a good time that's our way of life
barely black families need guidance if you have the right
so in our uh... uh... if they choose to question if the bumper sticker said
renamed it went well right it was a pro obama bumper sticker in theory
and it said we need twenty twelve is that still race
what do you think
ms on what do you think
well we talked about this before if it's a direct referenced this bumper sticker
then it's a it's prolly satirical and it's pretty funny and
making fun of it
let him it's not
well i mean if some
who would seriously do that if they were known by most of our company and a sense
that no i i think
but my point is this a temporal kate
to used words that by themselves are derogatory even if the context is
under some guys positive i would say now i would say that the rename twenty
twelve no matter what no matter even if it's satire is a racist bumper-sticker
uh... again sonya
