Hey! I'm Eddie, and I am a cast member here at The Happiest Place on Earth. Today, I'm
here to show you areas of the Disneyland Resort outside of our famous theme parks. With three
hotels, as well as shopping, dining and entertainment in the Downtown Disney District, there's more
here than you might know about! For starters, there are the three unique hotels here at
the Disneyland Resort. A stay here means being right in the middle of the magic -- all literally
steps away from everything to do here. Let's take a quick look. First up is Disney's Grand
Californian Hotel & Spa, capturing the rich history and natural beauty of the state of
California. The hotel's luxurious design is inspired by turn-of-the-century Craftsman
architecture. Located right in the middle of the Disneyland Resort, this hotel offers
a private entrance into Disney California Adventure Park! And there's no better place
to relax and unwind than the signature Mandara Spa or the hotel's trio of sparkling pools.
There are also many restaurant options here-- whether you dine with Disney characters at
Storytellers Café, grab a quick bite at White Water Snacks, or indulge at the award-winning
Napa Rose. Or just sit back and relax at one of our many cozy lounges and soak in the atmosphere.
Across the way is Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel, reflecting the heyday of the California beachfront.
From recently refreshed rooms with new beach décor, to the roller coaster-inspired water
slide on the rooftop pool, everything about this hotel just says, "laid back." Then there's
the legendary Disneyland Hotel, which has been completely reimagined -- giving it a
very magical transformation from top to bottom. This hotel's spacious rooms feature modern
amenities and exquisite Disney touches -- like a Sleeping Beauty Castle headboard that lights
up with fiber-optic fireworks. The new pools feature two water slides inspired by the original
Disneyland Monorail -- as well as a water play area. For a slower pace, there are two
new poolside spas, as well as luxurious poolside cabanas available to rent. Next to the pool,
the brand-new Tangaroa Terrace restaurant and Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar feature
cool Polynesian-style architecture and island-inspired food and drinks with a real touch of Disney
magic! A stay at one of these hotels is an escape into a storybook vacation -- surrounded
by the magic 24/ 7 -- in hotel rooms designed with a touch of Disney whimsy. At character
dining experiences or poolside in an incredible, themed water-play area, a stay here also means
being surrounded by Disney quality and our famed guest service, too! And the convenient
location of these hotels -- everything is just steps away -- means more time for family
fun and less time getting from place to place. Walk to the main entrances of the theme parks
or take a ride on the Monorail and sail into Disneyland Park. Or, take time to stroll through
the Downtown Disney District, tucked in between the hotels and theme parks. There's no admission
fee to experience all sorts of shopping, dining and entertainment, day and night. This is
the home of the World of Disney store -- one of the largest Disney shops in the world,
and a great spot to find a souvenir. When it's time to eat, the Downtown Disney District
offers a variety of places to grab food on the go, or sit down to fine cuisine from around
the world. And every night, the Downtown Disney District hosts live entertainment that seems
to pop up all around the place. Not to mention, concerts at the House of Blues, movies at
the 12-screen AMC Theatre and more! A visit to the Downtown Disney District will be sure
to wow just about anyone. I'm standing here at Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Park
where the Happiest Place on Earth just got happier! Everything you could possibly want,
need, or imagine is all right here, at the more magical than ever Disneyland Resort.
There's even more to tell you about all the Disneyland Resort parks, including the reimagined
Disney California Adventure Park. We'll have to save that for another time. See you real
soon!
