Hi! My name is John Armstrong with expertvillage.com. I'm a professional guitar instructor and today
we are going to be studying beginning jazz guitar. Now let's do the same thing but with
the dominant 7. Once again starting on the 6th string and moving over to the 5th string.
Here based off of the major 7 arpeggio that we just did previously, we've got root, 3rd,
5th. Here was my 7th, let's flat it. So we got a flatted 7th. This is what makes it into
an A 7 arpeggio. So root, 3rd, 5th, flatted 7th, root 3rd, 5th, 7th flatted, flatted 7.
Now doing the dominant 7 with the root off the 5th string or the A string. We have root
3rd, 5th, here's my 7th, let's flat it. So flatted 7th, root 3rd, 5th, here was my 7th,
let's flat it. Back to the root again, D7 arpeggio, dominant 7.
