Preparing for The Trip - Medical exams, dentist and first aid kit

I just arrived at the medical centre of Idalion (Dali). I came to make some blood exams, I don't know if they are going to get some sample today thought Let's go and see what happens Hello, I would like to visit the dentist and then a doctor to do every available blood test that exist. It took me four hours to get the job done here at the hospital. Blood exams, thyroid, syphilis, hepatitis A, B, C, D.... aids, glucose, cholesterol, magnesium, iron, sodium, potassium... basically everyting General, blood haematology.... ESR... I don't have a clue what that is... and general blood exams. All this costed €14,50 and I have to come back here again on the 16th of March to do all those exams. In one month from now So the dentist had some "not so good" news for me... I'll have to visit her almost every week.. I need three filings and she told me there might be a problem with my wisdom teeth They don't have any problem, but they are still inside, and that might cause some future problems during the trip. Today she started by dental cleaning, and tomorrow I have to get a panoramic Xray of my jaw. so we can have a look at what state the wisdom teeth are. And I'll come again to get my first filing on next Monday. I asked her if she could make all of them in one visit, and then answer off course was a no, because she can't put anesthetic in all of my mouth at once. I have time to visit her three times, so I'll continue to do some other things in the while. I also got some medicines, for vertigo, antibiotic cremes, creme for burns and stings, some vitamins some powder for foot fungus, panadol, diarrhea pills, and antiemetics pills... I asked the doctor to suggest some medicines and I had a list with me as well that Kyriakos the Pharmacist, wrote for me, and I thank him very much for that. So I am almost finished with the medical issues. I need a couple of things to get for the first aid kit. I don't have the Xray of my jaw to show it to you. I forgot where I put it.. What happened with that matter is that the dentist told me that there is nothing to for the moment, my wisdom teeth are still very low so she gave me a prescription in case I have some trouble to take some antibiotics until I visit a doctor on the road I am done with the teeth filings, two weeks ago. It took three visits for three filings. I got the blood tests and they are great I might be the healthiest guy in Cyprus, if you consider how much souvla I eat. Something I wanted to test was the G6PD enzyme, which I have some deficiency on it. That restricts me on some fresh broad beans and take aspirin. I don't have this deficiency in a huge amount. I know people that have it in a higher state and they can't eat beans and gumbo, also naphthalene is bothering them My situation is a lot better. There are not many medicines that conflict with it except aspirin. Let me show you the First Aid Kit. I have different goodies in here... I hope I never need them. I got some of them out of the box and labeled them, and I will take all of them out of the boxes, because the boxes are taking more space. I have to read the manuals so I know what they do and label them before throwing the box away. Here I wrote that is for vertigo, and this causes drowsiness, so If I am going to take this I won't ride. I have acrivlavine, hydrogen peroxide, vitamins, feet fungus powder antiseptics, as I said before... This is another antiseptic spray that is expired, that's why it's not inside, and on it's place I will put a heating cream. This is an elastic gauze that I am taking. I use this one on my ankle, because I broke it three times and I false step all the time because of that and my ankle gets swollen. It does not break but it's getting swollen... I don't believe that something like that will happen because I got some high riding boots for this trip and they will prevent a false step. Some panadol, bandages, plasters.... I need to add some more things like scissors, nail clipper, and change the case of the kit to fit them all in. That's all. For vaccines I didn't do anything. I' ve asked around and there is nothing special I need for travelling in the European Countries So from there on is a personal matter if I want to get more vaccines, but I am covered anyways I asked for specific countries, like Ukraine if I need anything special and they said that I don't. If I find out that I need a specific vaccine that I don't have, I'll just get it before crossing the border That's all for now. For all these medical expenses I paid less than €40, which is very good amount... I went to the public hospital, that is cheap enough, but for every visit you spend a day. For every visit to the dentist I was waiting 4-5 hours to get a 15 minute filing. So thats all for now. I move on with the rest of the things I have to do so I can be ready on time
