Sf State Men's Soccer Participates in E - Soccer function

We are the E soccer Program. E stands for exceptional. What we do is we are a program
that helps special needs kids. Kids that have down syndrome autism different needs. We work
with other kids that are typical. It is not a program where we are trying to help develop
the next maradona or nothing. It teaches them to be social and work together. Their parents
love it because all of our coaches are volunteers. They come here and give their effort and energy
for 2 hours every saturday. We have been doing this for a number of years now.
In a year we have about 3 different sessions. Each session is about 12 weeks. So we have
about a 12 week session a 6 week break and another 12 week session. So its actually 4
sessions. We have the winter, summer... 3 or 4 sessions I can't do the math right now.
We are here year round with 6 week breaks. The kids and parents love it. If it rains
we do not have it we don't count the rainy days. It has been phenomenal having the SF
state players. They have been helping out for the past 2 years I believe and every session
in the off season they have about 5 players that come. They do a phenomenal job coming
in and working with the kids and interacting with the other coaches. So it's been great
having the SF state players.
