Pretty special time coming to the beach early. The sun, the sand, the beautiful blue and green waves. I can't think of anywhere more special to be. My family's journey with Surf Life Saving started twenty-five years ago when we brought our kids down to nippers. It's one of the unique things in Australia that as a grandfather I can be down here with my son and daughter in-law and wife and with my grandkids. Surf Life Saving to me is all about community service. It's all about family, and it's all about saving lives. But really it's a team effort to look after the beach. We do what we do because we choose to, we don't get paid for it. You make a living by what you get, but you make a life by what you give.
