Hey Welcome back to Ontario Lakeside. In the last video you saw the plans well this is
what we managed it done this summer
this issuing to be the great room, kitchen and living room as you can see we got the
floor platform done but not much else the bedroom side is all dried in. Its got the
metal roof on and windows are in so it's good. we have our tool stored in there. You can
see our 500 gallon water tank lying there beside it we are hoping we can keep working
and this summer will be able to keep working and get the side dryad in and then we can
start using it. Gorgeous day, cottage looks like it's in good shape. lets go in and have
a look. Dry as a bone inside. Our little tool bench is still in order, thats excellent.
Its hard I don't have a wide enough lens to give you a full feel, but here is wide as
I can get. Here is the loft, One small bedroom here and another here. Like I said these are
going to be like a sailboat, really tight. we will have a bed here maybe a little dresser
on this wall. and back here where the tools are will be the bathroom. this doorway will
lead to the great room down some stairs. Here is a view of the structure underneath. Its
all 2X10 joists and triple 2X10 beams witch are in turn sitting on 6X6 posts that ether
rest directly on the bedrock or in this case on a footing that is anchor to the bedrock.
this footing is about 8" long and sits directly on bedrock and is re-bared in. Where if you
look at this on in the back thats bolted with a 5.8th inch bolt directly to the bedrock.
We got a lot done this summer and in the end its more than we would get done and Ive got
to thank all the people that helped out. Without them there is no way we would have gotten
this far. So thanks everybody and I look forward to
having you help out again this summer.
