Mentions Verona; the setting for Romeo and Juliet. It's loosely related, but rather than a social separation it’s a physical one. The last line, “we’ll make the sky and seas jealous”, is a simple metaphor for “we’ll finally be together” unlike the sky and the sea, which meet but will never truly touch. I found that writing a poem in the form of a song is quite difficult; you can’t be overly eccentric with your language... or perhaps I just ended up succumbing to the simplicity of songwriting. At first, I was stuck in the mindset of being extravagantly poetic, but I realize there’s beauty in communicating feelings or thoughts without wringing out the English language, too. ...
