Hi, Sheryl here with Hot Blog Tips.com. Today we are going to do; adding names and tagging
people on Google Plus. To "tag" a user in a Google Plus post or comment
will notify them that you have mentioned them and in most cases will turn their name into
a clickable link. To tag a person or page you will simply type
the + sign and then start typing their name. There will be a drop down box, you can simply
click on their name. You have now made it blue. You can also do this with pages. Now
their names will be blue in the post and clickable. As you can see, their names are also listed
here in the notify box. When will this tagging method not work?
If you have prewritten a message in your documents and then choose to just pasted it in. As you
can see the name is no longer blue. Simply take the name out and start typing the name
again and you will be able to add it. If you are doing updates from your Google
Plus Business Page, and you are trying to tag a person, the person must be following
you or you cannot link to them. So keep that in mind, if it doesn't turn blue, it may be
because they are not following your page. Now use common sense when tagging. If you
are using it to gain attention...you may gain the type of attention that gets you blocked.
