Officer Patrols School When 1 Teen Catches His Eye Forcing Him To Grab Girl Before It's
Too Late Being in charge can be tough. For one, other
people look to you for guidance and when things go badly there’s the potential of having
the responsibility or blame fall on you.
It can have its benefits but it can also have its drawbacks depending upon the situation.
Officer Roger Caron is used to being in charge, serving as a special law enforcement officer
at Pascack Hills High School. Officer Caron didn’t know it yet, but on
this particular day his normal day of patrolling the school halls was about to take a turn.
He was walking the halls as usual when he saw 18-year-old Sarah Bazzini acting strangely.
Sarah was stumbling and moving very quickly, immediately tipping off Officer Caron that
something wasn’t right. The closer he walked toward Sarah the more prevalent the problem
became. Unbeknownst to him Sarah had stuffed a piece
of food in her mouth in a rush to finish her lunch and head to class, but it was now lodged
in her throat. She had tried to cough it out but was unsuccessful.
She suddenly started to panic when it became clear to her that she was in trouble. With
every step that Sarah took she could feel herself growing weaker and weaker. That’s
when she saw Officer Caron. With time running out, Officer Caron saw Sarah
motion to her throat letting him know immediately that he needed to act fast. Without any hesitation
Officer Caron performed the Heimlich maneuver, dislodging the french fry after a few thrusts.
Sarah was flooded with relief, now calling Officer Caron her hero. Had it not been for
his heroic and quick action things could have taken an unthinkable turn.
Following the incident, Sarah is closer to Officer Caron than ever. She can't stop thanking
him for saving her.
It was divine intervention that he was in the right place at the right time. Thankfully
Officer Caron was in that hallway that day to serve as her guardian angel in her time
of peril.
