Two Minutes with Alfonso Peña, Visual Artist

I came to Puerto Vallarta in 1996 and found a magical place, and an ideal location for my creativity as an artist to flow. I have painted all my life, and put my works on the market about 15 years ago. It has evolved in such a way that I've explored several techniques, beginning with oil, and recently incorporating epoxy resins. I consider myself an abstract artist, as most of my work is abstract. I usually use geometric forms, lines, textures and also a variety of materials. My most recent production has a lot to do with all these elements along with epoxy resins and layers of clear, acrylic sheets, which give the pieces a certain a certain sense of dimensionality. For me, it is a real pleasure to collaborate with, and to be represented by Galeria Contempo. It is one of Puerto Vallarta's finest galleries. As a visual artist, I truly feel welcome here.
