Satans Whiskers - Halloween cocktails - Thefndc

Today on Drinks With Diablo, we're making a little drink that we call Satan's Whiskers. TheFNDC.com presents Drinks With Diablo: Satan's Whiskers. Welcome back to Drinks with Diablo, this is your host, Jöhnny Dîablø, and today we're making this classic cocktail from back in time called the Satan's Whiskers. What you're going to need: orange juice, sweet vermouth, dry vermouth, gin, orange bitters, Grand Marnier, and a fresh orange for garnish. So we're going to shake it up and throw it down in a cocktail glass. Let's start with one ounce of sweet vermouth. One ounce of dry vermouth. One ounce of gin. One ounce of orange juice. If you can squeeze the orange juice fresh, that's even better. A dash or two of orange bitters. And half an ounce of Grand Marnier. Now, if you want to make this Satan's Curled Whiskers, then you would bust out ½ ounce of orange curacao instead of Grand Marnier. So let's shake that up. Okay, what have we got? It looks orange. It looks kind of dark, a little dark orange. Now, on top of that, we're going to take our handy-dandy OXO channeler — rind peeler thingy, and we're going to get an orange twist there. For the top, oh yeah. Get some of that nice zest up in this. OK, so — orange twist, there we go. Let's see how this tastes. That is really pleasant. I am really liking these Satan's Whiskers. The orange juice is there, obviously, lending the base. The vermouths are coming through. The gin is kind of there. The Grand Marnier is adding a little kick to it, a little bite. This is a bad-*** drink, and yes, I do recommend this for the holiday season. For Halloween, it will kick your ***, and you will like it.
