Review of The Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains on a 2007 Kia Sportage - Etrailer

Today on our 2007 Kia Sportage with tire size P23560R16 well be installing the Glacier Cable
Snow Tire Chains part number PW1038 in conjunction with the rubber adjuster part number PW99.
Well now need to identify how to mount the chain on the tire. Youll notice that the cable
chains have the words tire side imprinted on each of the side chain hooks. Well now
drape the tire chain over the tire with the connection area located at the very bottom
of the tire. Youll want to make sure that the tire side writing faces the tire itself.
Well center the chains relative to the tire tread where we can then go to the inside of
the tire and connect the cable first by inserting the adjustment end of the side cable through
the hook fastener making sure to take up as much of the slack in the side cable as possible.
Well now move to the outside of the tire where well repeat this same process. Youll notice
that the cable chains have a metal tab just after the first side chain. This tab is used
if you have excessive side cable, you can attach the cable to this tab to hold the cable
close to the tire. Now were using part number PW99 the rubber tighteners. Well work in a
pentagonal shape around the chain to further
hold the cable chain
to the tire.
