my first language is english spanish because i'm cuban-colombian and my parents speak spanish my first language is Spanish well I learned Spanish really Cuban Spanish which is kind of like you know interesting form of spanish not grammatically correct I'm not fluent but I but I'm very good with the language and then in my house my folks spoken language on occasion call yiddish conglomerate language and a new know if he were to the birth I learned my new language when i came to this country here Americans mild now than I was when I speak in English and I learned it because I'm moved as a child to New Jersey I was raised in New Jersey and then I keep going back and forth from what I recall to the state's out that's how i learned my english I think getting the pronouns correct like "nosotros" , "yo" and all those others and the pronunciation the words that follow think that's a mistake know it's night was pretty easy because at my dads support and my sisters not really cuz I was exposed to it all the time you have to music TV or other people speaking English around me so it was not hard well not directly but it has helped me not so much in my career but aspect to my crib for instance I coach J on head coach JV football and baseball and some other players or not fluent in English so my Spanish allows me to you make connections with and explain things to them than a normal circumstances I might to because I have someone commander language I my job I have to be by at my job i have to be bilingual because I live in Hialeah and there's a lot of people that speak English and Spanish mostly Spanish so I need to know both of them yes it has I don't know any other languages has opened up it worse to different groans in my career I when I first got here I I was able to get certified in Spanish anti Spanish and has been communicate better with my students so yes for everybody has a comfort zone and particularly if you're if you're not comfortable and it's also following the it allows you to make connections it allows you to make friendships that community obviously other people that might not otherwise be able to and therefore overlooked your experiences to to meet people from other cultures and then what you do you learn to enjoy it appreciate the culture and then you Mercer softening you enjoy even more makes you more rounded person because you can socialize with people from other countries that speak spanish and english yes it does knowing more than 1 language helps people feel more comfortable more confident act like I said the opportunities at getting my first so much more then you are actually competitive in makes to become competitive know our way again as a a spot concert it has not helped me get a better job but does not be understand things when I see on television I see signs wanna need directions was kind of things in every day a reserve life it's good to have that I it's a language Spanish particulars language its cut necessary know other language has helped me to discover a new world no I stay in touch with my roots you know that's helped me and it's also help me to help other people that don't know English so i can to teach their and of course one of the language that i like to learn sign language I find it fasinated i was in church on Sunday and they were due in there was a couple songs and they have people doing hand gestures yeah but always fascinated me from but I was can even though I didn't ever have never known anybody that was def I've always wanted to learn the different signs and what they mean because I think to to me it's fascinating I want to learn Swedish just because I wanna move to Sweden am trying to learn it online i want to learn Portuguese, are you trying to learn it now? ah by music but i don't know what I'm sayin but yeah, so can you speak some portuguese? oh my god yes but just bad-words you know what i'm saying it's the only thing I've learned so far bye bye
