"How did the door to Paradise open?"
The lushly growing dark green trees, the eerie cries of the birds.
In a certain forest far from civilization, that baby was abandoned.
Fortunately... or unfortunately... the baby who had been abandoned as if to hide her from others' eyes was found
By a sharp-eyed witch who had been chased out of the kingdom, Crimson Old Rose.
Silver hair, scarlet eyes, skin as white as snow.
Before long, the foundling baby had grown into a girl so beautiful that it would send a chill down your spine.
All things are in a state of flux; as long as it flows, time is the same.
Without anyone knowing, the curtain opens on the story surrounding the two Paradises.
"Lafrenze... do not forget..."
Her silver hair fluttering in the wind, Lafrenze prays for the souls of the dead
Your small lips playing a requiem, sing, Lafrenze, let it echo unto eternity...
The serpents that devour time, the canon of scorched chains,
The spider lily blooming out of season, the Elysion to which one cannot return.
There is a river that cannot be crossed when the candles go out.
Forgetting the beginning, it embraces the endless sky...
"-- How dare you, Lafrenze..." The harmony of the bitter cries
"-- Hated Lafrenze..." The flames of the grudge burn
Knowing it to be a fleeting illusion, still living souls search for Paradise on the opposite shore.
Dead souls also, unable to return, search for Paradise on the opposite shore.
The deep, cold river of Hades separates them.
The tears the maiden sheds never dry.
They only... add more water to the river of laments...
-- The beautiful melody of a lyre wakes the girl from her nightmare.
The sad-eyed musician, that beautiful youth's name is...
"Lafrenze... do not forget...
You are the guardian of the last gate, protecting the world from the hands of the dead,
Who roost in Hades. You should not let your barrier of purity be broken..."
When her grandmother passed on she had closed her lips.
The wind lashed at her, she knew her isolation as loneliness.
When he appeared, she opened her lips,
Became happy, and forgot even her vow...
-- That was
The magic of the moment when their hands touched
Her pounding heartbeat made little bells ring.
The magic of the moment when their eyes met.
The forbidden flames, the girl knew love...
Having stolen one, she wanted ten; having stolen ten, she wanted a hundred
Those flames would not vanish until they had devoured him completely...
"Lafrenze... do not forget..."
Singing of passion, Lafrenze scattered her flower of purity.
Not knowing of love and hate, Lafrenze embraced the jet-black flames.
By touch alone, he opens the cage containing the beast bound by darkness
And falls toward the bottom of Hades that is in the depths of her body.
-- Footsteps draw nearer.
Before long Orpheus [he] takes Eurydice's [her] hand
And climbs swiftly up the dark stairs.
But the girl, as repayment for his betrayal, sings a cruel curse.
Ah... soon he will... he will look behind him--
"Did the witch give birth to Lafrenze?"
"Did Lafrenze give birth to the witch?"
"The tale is outside of the page..."
"And thus... the door to Paradise was opened."
