Hello, this is Gradient and Ben here. We're going to review Wii Play for the Wii.
Wii Play is a minigame collection developed and published by Nintendo. It has 9 minigames
in total and only half of them are worth playing more than two times. This game has multiplayer.
Only one of the games is playable at the start but you can unlock the others just by playing the previous game.
It lets you play as your Mii character in the different minigames. Let's go over the
games. Shooting Range. It's a bit like Duck Hunt on the NES. You shoot at the things by
pointing at the screen and pressing the A or B button which worked very well. This is
one of the good games that you will come back to. Find Mii. In this game you need to look
for something such as two lookalike Miis or the Mii you're playing as. It's fun at first
but gets boring quickly. You will only play this a couple of times. Table Tennis. You
control the paddle by moving the Wiimote left and right. The controls were fine. You rally
the ball for as long as you can. It was an OK game but you won't be playing it over and
over again. Pose Mii. You move your Mii into the bubbles and different shapes by moving
the Wiimote around and pressing A or B. If the bubble gets to the bottom you lose a life.
If you lose three lives the game ends. This game was the worst in my opinion. Laser Hockey.
This game is a mix of air hockey and Pong. You move the paddle around your half of the
screen to try and stop your opponent from getting the ball into your hole whilst trying
to get it into their hole. This was another good one. Fishing. You use the Wiimote as
a fishing rod and try to catch the fish. If you catch a bad fish it will take away points.
You can get bonus points for catching the fish shown at the top of the screen. You will
only play this once or twice because it gets boring. Billiards. It's like pool but if you
got a 3 ball you would get three points. If you foul a ball it will take away three points.
You win the game when you pocket all the balls. It was a great game. Charge! You ride a cow
knocking down scarecrows for points. There are fences in the way so you need to jump
over them. You hold the Wiimote sideways like an NES controller and move left and right
by tilting the Wiimote. You speed up by tilting the Wiimote down and slow down by tilting
it up. To jump you shake the controller. This game was fun and probably my favourite. Tanks.
You need to shoot the enemy tanks to clear the level. If you shoot a wall it will bounce
off it and then disappear when it collides again. You will play this game lots. That's
all the minigames. What was your favourite minigame Ben? My favourite minigame was Tanks
because when I was really little I laughed so much because I got destroyed all the time!
Which was your least favourite? Pose Mii because it was too hard. I kept missing all the bubbles.
When you finish a minigame it gives you a bronze, silver, gold or platinum medal to
tell you how well you did in the game. Overall this game would be a good game to play to
pass a bit of time but if you are looking for a good party game you should go for the
Wii Party series. Ben, what do you give this game out of ten? 5/10. I give this game a
5.5/10.
