In this video, I'm going to show you how to prepare your screen with screen filler. Screen
filler is a product that can be used directly out of the bottle. Make sure you give it a
good shake because it can get a little bit dry. Screen filler blocks the holes on your
screen. This allows you the ability to paint something directly onto the screen with screen
filler, if you would like to. It's great for really simple images. Also, if you are doing
anything photographic, screen filler is the tool you're going to use to block any holes
that are open that shouldn't be. So, I'm going to paint on the screen. So, when screen filler
is applied, if you're doing a large area, it's great to apply it with a foam brush,
and it just rolls over, like so. Nice thing about it being this color is you always know
where you put it. Because we're dealing with little holes, it does pass through the screen.
That means you want to be able to make sure that it's smooth on both sides. That's where
your matte board comes in handy. When applying screen filler, you want it to be as smooth
and consistent across the screen as possible. Any bumps you have on the screen of uneven
areas will affect your printing. Matte board is your best friend.
