Hello everyone, this is Bradley and welcome to dream. It's a really interesting exploration
game with a bunch of unique environments. It's in pretty early stages at the moment,
but you can tell from the start that it has a lot of potential. It was created by a small
indie game developer by the name of Hypersloth. It's currently available on Steam Greenlight
for $15 dollars, and it definitely deserves to be on there.
You start off as Howard Phillips as he wakes up in his house. Like a lot of people, he
has no idea what he wants to do in his life, but he's obsessed with dreams. As you play,
you'll learn more about Howard and help him move forward.
You interact with objects in this game by pointing and clicking, the way it should be.
If you can interact with an object you will get a small annotation along with a small
dot in the center of the screen. At the moment, you can turn off lights, televisions, and
a view other things. The best part of the game is when you go to
bed, where you experience a collection of scenes, which all transition great as the
story plays out. Because it's in alpha, the game's fairly short since there are a small
number of scenes, but the team is working on new places with each update.
There's a huge variety of scenes in the game, right now where in this sort of rocky desert
environment. It's your job to find new paths which usually lead to new areas. One thing
I especially like is the blur on the top half of that screen, in gives you the feeling of
a dream, but it also makes everything look a lot more realistic.
The story is far from linear and has so much variety. You can't move onto the next scene
until you solve the task at hand, which may be a little difficult for those who are impatient.
Not everyone is going to come into contact with the same thing. The game takes its own
story depending on how you play it. I'll admit the reason I picked up this game
was because of the graphics. All the different environments looked so real, and look even
better once you're actually playing in them. I'm not the biggest fan of exploration games,
but the locations give you full immersion into the game. The weather and lighting effects
are great. What's even better than the graphics is the
soundtrack. The team hired their own composer for music, all of which is original. All the
music varies depending on the situation. I feel like I'm playing in a totally different
game when starting a new scene. My only suggestion for the future of this
game is to have a few smaller environments. It can get boring sometimes just endlessly
wandering in the outdoors. I actually find the house in the game very interesting. There
is so much to search and look through. It would be nice to add indoor scenes to the
project. Overall, I'm really liking the direction of
this project. I'm not much of an indie game player, but it's definitely a nice transition
into the genre. If you don't like indie puzzle games, then you probably won't like this,
but that's an obvious. If you are a fan, I'd considering buying the game now because it
has a lot of potential, plus you get all future updates free.
That's all for now everyone. Thanks for watching. If you can, leave a like and subscribe if
you want more content. Have a good day.
