Dave, CTE instructor >> Kids need to understand that
that's the real world. To hold a job, to have a job.
And that all can be done in the CTE courses.
I mean, that's the logical place... follow your dream.
Follow what you want to do until you know ...
... you learn what you want to know and you make a good decision.
Evan, CTE student >> I love it. I get to work on diesel trucks.
They're fun, I'm learning a lot;
I can challenge myself every day. I love this program.
Jeff, CTE instructor >> You really need to look at CTE
because of the whole broad base of programs we offer.
Elizabeth, CTE student >>It made me curious to explore more about
what's out there. Just being able to talk to people
who are actually involved in large scale ...
development of products was a really neat experience,
and I learned a lot by doing that.
Jeff >>There's a lot of great opportunities,
whether it's in CTE so you can work through
the Youth Apprenticeship program and get credit that way;
the articulated credit ... the transcripted credit ...
there's a lot of great options that the students have.
Dave >> You might find a life's work or a life's career that you absolutely love,
but you'll never know if you don't go explore and try it.
Jeff >> Whether they choose a career path or not,
it's going to get them the basic skills that they need.
So they can move on into the workforce,
whether it's before college after college, during college ...
Our whole goal is to get these kids ready and
give them a lot of opportunities that they may not have.
