Facial studio not only let’s you create heads.
But also automatically creates the teeth and tongue for that said head,
which you can of course modify to suit your needs.
Let’s look at how this works.
On Facial studio’s head primitive we can uncheck the creation of the head, the eyes and the cornea.
We are then presented with the teeth, tongue and gums.
To start off I will just apply a turbo smooth modifier
and then go in the modifier list and choose; animation,
and then adjust the mouth opening to get a better view of what’s going on.
Now, again in the modifier list, we will choose the teeth sub object
where we can adjust various aspects of the look of teeth.
We can also use the random button, which as you have probably guessed
shuffles the various values and creates unique sets teeth.
Or we can manually adjust each value individually to achieve our own unique look.
A pretty cool addition to manually adjusting each set of teeth is the lock button,
which allows you to intuitively control the look of the upper and lower teeth,
independently or in unison.
So, all of the values can be combined to create very cool looking effects.
Amongst them we have the sliding,
this control simply shifts the upper or lower frontal teeth from left to right.
This will help you gain a more asymmetrical look for your character’s mouth very easily.
Another thing you can adjust is the tongue, by going into the tongue sub-object,
you have access to various transformation and deformation controls,
as well as a random and reset button.
This gives you control over the way the tongue looks and the way it will be deformed,
this also gives you the ability to create very precise poses for your characters mouth.
Thank you for watching this quick overview on how to go beyond the face with facial studio.
