Bicycle Repair - How to install a water bottle cage on your bike

Hi, this is David back with Expert Village. Next I'm going to demonstrate for you how to install a water bottle cage. You've gone to the store, bought a cage, now you need to install it. It's really simple. All you need is an Allen Wrench. You can pick these up pretty much at any hardware store. You're not going to find these at a supermarket. It's not going be next to the fruit, so don't look there. So save yourself some time, go to a hardware store. Get a set of Allen Wrenches, there not much money. Really simple, simply take the Allen and stick it in there, I'm loosening this guy to the left and it is popping off. Normally, the cage wouldn't already be on the bike, obviously. It's basically an Allen bolt right there. It's really simple; you just pop both of those off, put the cage back on, and then use the Allen to tighten it back on. This is a good way to save a lot of money. This is the type of really simple operation. If you took your bike to a bike shop, and you had them do it, they'd charge you and arm and a leg and tell you how really complicated it is. Then afterwards, you look at a bike and go, that wasn't so hard. What were they selling me there? It's a really easy operation. I just tighten that down with my Allen and that's basically it.
