THANKS FOR JOINING US
TONIGHT.
I'M CHRISTINA JANES.
I'M SAM SHANE.
EMOTIONS SPILLED OVER IN A
PLACER COUNTY COURTROOM TODAY.
IT TORE US APART.
THE MAN ACCUSED OF KILLING
TWO TEENAGERS CAME FACE TO FACE
WITH THEIR PARENTS.
LEMORABRAMS IS LIVE WITH THEIR
STORY.
SAM, CHRISTINA, PHILLIP
INGRAM DID FACE THE VICTIM'S
FAMILIES IN COURT.
BUT AT TIMES TRIED HIDING
BEHIND HIS ATTORNEY.
STAYING SHELTERED FOR THE MOST
PART.
AND THEN FAMILY MEMBERS CHEERED
WHEN THE JUDGE ANNOUNCED INGRAM
WILL STAY IN JAIL WITH NO BAIL.
HE WAS FORMALLY CHARGED WITH
TWO COUNTS OF FELONY
MANSLAUGHTER AND A SEPARATE
CHARGE OF HIT-AND-RUN.
IN RELATION TO A SUSPECTED
COLLISION THATHAPPENED MINUTES
BEFORE THE TWO AUBURN BOYS WERE
KILLED.
THE JUDGE ALSO LEARNED OF
INGRAM'S PREVIOUS DUI
CONVICTION BACK IN 1999.
IN AN UNUSUAL RULING THE JUDGE
ALLOWED JARED GATCHE'S MOTHER
TO SPEAK.
SHE SAID QUOTE MY SON WILL
FOREVER BE IN A BOX AND INGRAM
DESERVES THE SAME THING.
ALSO THE BOY'S FOOTBALL COACH
WAS IN COURT TO SHOW HIS
SUPPORT.
BUT COULDN'T KEEP HIS EMOTIONS
IN EITHER.
TAKE A LISTEN.
FOR ME IT'S GOING TO BE
EXTREMELY TOUGH.
EXTREMELY TOUGH.
I'M JUST, YOU KNOW I'M HAVING
TROUBLE BEING VERY ANGRY.
THE FAMILY WANTS US TO NOT BE
IN THAT CAPACITY.
BUT PERSONALLY IT'S GOING TO BE
HARD FOR ME.
NOW INGRAM'S ATTORNEY ARGUED
THAT CAMERAS BE REMOVED FROM
THE COURTROOM SAYING THEY WILL
POLLUTE THE JURY POOL BUT THE
JUDGE REJECTED HIS REQUEST AND
ALLOWED THE CAMERAS TO STAY IN
THE COURTROOM.
THE FAMILIES REQUESTED PRIVACY
BUT THEY WANTED TO SHARE THANKS
TO THE COMMUNITY, THIS SMALL
AUBURN COMMUNITY FOR ALL ITS
SUPPORT.
AND THE SUSPECT PHILLIP INGRAM
WILL REAPPEAR IN COURT
THURSDAY.
SAM, CHRISTINA, BACK TO YOU.
THIS HAS BEEN EMOTIONAL FOR
