Driving my truck
I'm seeing the sun rising
distances, I try to overcome
breathing the dawn
and the insomnia of a night wihtout moon
is dying away
and the day is born, showing the route
that I will drive on
My heart feeds on
with the constant roar of the engine
making an effort to roll on
eighteen wheels without regrets
and in the hours of rural sacrifice
they're seeing us
as an unreachable dream, loosing ourselves...
Loosing ourselves...
In the constant, bringing and taking
Heavy loads, earning livelihood
Driving my truck, I shine in full living this dream
To which my life I gave in full
Just as my father did yesterday
In him is my happiness and I need nothing more
That's why I sing what I feel, in a truck
Come noon on the route
and I'm trying to overcome the distances
I think of the many ones
that will know better to keep my chant
Only to see themselves content, in a truck living the dream
in which I am
Make a stop, at nightfall
Under the trees, torn by timlessness
with my truck, the ones that rest in the open field
in the route shoulder, I've tangled
only my truck, knows well
the cold route and its loneliness, my chant they will keep
only to see me content
in my truck, living the dream
to which my life I gave in full
as my father did yesterday
in him is my happiness, and I need nothing more
that's why I sing what I feel, in my truck
In my truck
