the concept of theater
is a very apt comparison
we're almost like stagecraft people or
stage directors the show does need those people
in order to be expressed
people go to museums they see exhibits
I don't think a lot of people really think about what goes into them it's just something that sort of magically
exists
some of the projects are very steered by
curators and designers -so again
running all the way back into the 20's- other projects they have
no concept so we have a more sort of curitorial
and more planning elements in that project
the first thing that we had decided upon was
the narrative direction the next up was coming up with the look
of the materials and usage of the room and the spacing
the presentation of the artwork
should improve the experience of that
I think our signatures add a little bit more quirkiness
to the show something unexpected and
an extension of the artwork itself into the actual physicality
of the structure
we've been lucky enough to be able to handle works that I've
seen in books and I wasn't even sure if I'd get to see in person much less get to
install into a museum for people
even though I'm not directly making my own art work these days I'm helping
others to express and exhibit their works and their ideas
trying to make the common dream
a reality
