The University of Chicago Library is part of the University's
network printing system,
available at all campus libraries, residence halls,
and the Cathey Learning Center.
This means you can print directly from library computers.
To start, you must add value to your University printing account.
You may add value online by going to "Copy, Print, and Scan"
on the Library's website.
Or, you may visit one of the add value stations in the library.
Tap your University ID on the machine and add funds by cash or credit card.
When you're ready to print from the library computer, select the option
to print in the program you are using.
Then, select a printer,
opting for black-and-white or color printing
and single-sided or duplex. Black-and-white printing costs 13 cents per page.
Color printing is 18 cents per page. The default is black-and-white
double-sided printing, which is 13 cents per side.
After you've sent your print job, visit any of the Library's
printing/photocopying stations. All stations will print black-and-white
documents.
A select few offer color printing, as well.
To locate a printing station in your campus library, speak to library staff
or select "Copy, Print, and Scan" on the Library's website.
To release your print job, go to a printing station displaying
"Welcome to Unified Printing" and login with your CNet ID.
Select the print job you would like to print. The system will display the cost
the selected jobs.
Then tap your University ID and enter your PIN.
To create a PIN, check the box marked "Change PIN"
and enter a four digit PIN. Click OK to submit your PIN
and again to release your print job.
Printing is also available from your laptop or mobile device.
Visit printing.uchicago.edu to upload a document to print.
The Library's printers also photocopy, scan, and fax.
For assistance with these functions, speak to a Canon Service Representative on the
first floor of Regenstein Library
or visit any Library circulation reference desk.
