CLANCY ROSE: All right. And now we're going to talk about the first ingredient that's
going to go in to your single cappuccino which is the beans. One of the most common misconceptions
about beans that you're going to use for a shot of espresso is that it should be roasted.
It should be a bean that's roasted more dark than a normal cup of coffee which isn't necessarily
true. You can use whatever coffee you want to make espresso. What makes an espresso an
espresso is the process involved and how it's made and that the ratio of coffee used to
hot water is a lot higher than a normal cup of coffee; therefore, it's kind of a supersaturated
solution. For a cappuccino or really any other espresso and milk beverage, you're just going
to want to select a blend that is the flavor that you like and is bold enough to where
it's going to stand up and cut through however how much milk you're using. In this case,
a blend that's going to be--the flavors are going to able to cut through five to eight
ounces of milk.
