Now that you have your scrap files and they're categorized into the different parts of the
fashion figure, it's time to find things that inspire you for their design elements. Not
necessarily the ways to draw the body, but this is what moves you based on anything that
grabs you, color, silhouette, feelings, anything like that. This is where you start a sketch
book. In your sketch book, you're going to keep it with you at all times, providing you
can, granted, and in that sketch book goes your sketching, your little scribbles, your
drawings, your pictures, pictures from your digital camera. Anything that you find, a
flier somewhere that you liked an element of. Put that in your sketch book. Your sketch
book is going to become the basis of your designs. Not necessarily the technical part,
as I said earlier, the part of the designs that is intrinsically you. And once you, it's
ongoing. You're never going to be completely finished. But if you're trying to design for
one collection, then you start at this point and these inspirational sources, these sources
of inspiration will be in your sketch book pertaining to this one collection.
