So this is the big question how do you get more traffic to your website
visitors typically arrive at your site from one of five sources they either type in
your web address
they go to do a Google or other
search engine and make come from an organic or free
natural search result they may come from a paid search result like Google AdWords
or some other
paid search premise they may
come to your site from a link from another website that links to a page or your
homepage
and last but not least they may come from social media
it could be video content it could be a blog it could be some other
social media presentation so do you consider
offline advertising well offline advertising right now is really like a
middleman if you want your customer to be online
you wanna start them off online if you're paying
let’s say a newspaper ad or magazine ad they have to now migrate from that platform
to a computer
by the time the middle man takes their money which is the advertising
entity and then they get to the website usually the
return on investment is not there if you're online and you want your website
have traffic start with
the online source for the traffic to begin when
AdWords and organic traffic is hard to control right Google AdWords you don't
know what your cost is going to be
what your competitors are bidding what the conversion rates going to be
and organic of course is even harder to control you don't know where your
website gonna place
in the organic listings so what does that leave you with it leaves you with a
business development strategy that put more effort into social media and
content
those are things you may be able to control producing content like blog posts
videos
websites themselves are things you can control in
do in volume to get clients to your website make sure your sales department
can close the deals for that return on investment if you’re
getting more traffic and it's costing you some money whether that money is on
time
or on actual capital you're spending
for advertising make sure it's worthwhile that your sales department is
maximizing return by closing the deals
from those sources
