Chris Hemsworth Pop The Question with Ebony Day

Hi everyone, my name's Ebony Day and I'm here with AwesomenessTV UK to meet Chris Hemsworth! The game's not finished... I'm stronger than all of you... Little sister, shall we find out? Kneel before me! And then I'll tear your heart out... Are you ready, Huntsman? Aye. Ebony: You guys have sent in all these questions and I've filled balloons with helium and glitter of course... And Chris Hemsworth is going to pop the balloons and we're gonna answer some of your questions! Ready? Chris: Cool, yeah ready! Ebony: Ok. Right... so I have this dart for you... Chris: Thank you! Whoa... Ebony: Here is your first... Chris: You better not hold it... if I... wait you want me to throw it or just stab it? Ebony: No no don't throw it... that would be dangerous! [***] Chris: Geez look at that! Ebony: Good one! Good start! Ok so first question is from Louis Godfrey and they say: What is your favourite emoji? Chris: My favourite emoji? Umm... Ebony: Do you even use emojis? Chris: Well not really... I have trouble finding the emoji section on the phone. What would it be? Maybe a... [winks] Ebony: On to the next one! [***] Ebony: It makes me jump! Ok, so this one is from Iain Fergusson... and he says: Which of the leading ladies would make the best Huntsman!? Chris: Well I'd have to say Jessica because she is... she is one of the Huntsman so she'd fit right into that role, yeah. Ebony: On to the next! I'll hold it closer to me and then you won't get glitter... [***] Ebony: This is from MrDJJackson and he says: Have you ever had to hunt anything before? That's a good one! Ebony: Do you like hunting? Chris: No not really... I'd like to hunt if I needed to survive or eat but not just for pleasure. Ebony: What about spear fishing? Chris: Yeah I did spear fish and then we ate the fish. Ebony: Nice! Anything big? Chris: No no... well, legal... Ebony: Did they teach you any hunting things in The Huntsman? Chris: Umm not really. I mean we talked about that with the director on the first film... about going in the forest and living that sort of life and I said "That's where I grew up" so... Ebony: [laughs] Yeah! Awesome. Right, let's get another one... [***] Ebony: It fully scares me a bit... This is from HarrisKhadam Has the film actually taught you any skills, and if so what skills? Chris: Any skills. How to wield the hatchets, the two little axes that I use... there's a fighting style we developed around the Huntsman and his technique. Ebony: Is it hard? Chris: Yeah, but like anything the more you do it... by the end of it was sort of twirling the axes around my fingers my stunt guy and I and we had all sorts of tricks going. Ebony: Any injuries or no? Chris: Umm no. I almost hit Charlize so I think I might have with a sword... but she's still walking... Ebony: That's good. You're all good then! Ok, next one! [***] Ebony: Ok so coffeefranatic says: What was it like working with the cast the second time round? Chris: It was fantastic and I mean Charlize I'd worked with the first time, Jessica wasn't in the first one and Emily wasn't in the first one. So it was great to work with them for the first time... Ebony: Did you know them before? Chris: Yeah I knew Emily. Yeah and Jessica very briefly. But loved what Charlize did in the first one. She was an absolute force to be reckoned with. And a perfect sort of... evil queen. Her returning was... Ebony: She scared me a bit! Chris: She did! Yeah I know. So her returning was hugely exciting. Ebony: On the first day of shooting, is it like the first day of school? Where you're just like... a bit nervous? Chris: You don't really know anyone, you're trying to kind of figure out what you're doing there... Who's the character? You know is it gonna work or not? So there's all that sort of, I think that doubt and apprehension and so on but... But any you know, sort of settling... everyone knows each other Ebony: It looks so fun though! By the end are you just like "I don't want it to end!" or are you done? Chris: It's a bit of both. You always have a sort of like sadness that it's over but at the same time you're exhausted by the time you get to that four months... Ebony: Oh really? Oh my goodness. A long time! Oh my gosh we've only got 2 left! [***] Ebony: You are gonna hate me after this! Chris: No the wardrobe people will... Ebony: You'll be like "That darn Ebony" Ok. MrPeterRossiter says: If you could be any animal, what would you be and why? I like this one. Chris: Probably a dog. Just a dog sleeping in the sun all day long... Ebony: A little dog? Or a big dog? Chris: Like a Labrador... or a golden retriever. Or something. Ebony: My dog is like... "Nah I'm not going for a walk". Like "You can walk..." Chris: I'll stay here in the sun! Sleep whenever you want. Do whatever you want. Someone else feeds you... Ebony: Ok, last question! This one is a bit sad... it doesn't want to float anymore. [***] Ebony: Ok, so this is from joefeatzoellaxx... and she or he I'm not sure, says: What's the one thing you can't live without and why? And she's got like... she really wants to know... Chris: She's got the question mark and the exclamation. One thing I can't live without... Short of, you know... family and obvious things like that, I'd say... I'd say my surfboard I think. Ebony: Yeah! That would be amazing. Chris: It takes up most of my spare time... Ebony: How many do you have? Chris: Oh I've got a few. So probably 10 or 12 for different conditions and things. Ebony: I tried it once with a foam board in Manly and I like ran in, I was like "This is going to be awesome!" and then the waves are big! And they hit you and I fell backwards and I'm done. I'm done! Chris: Quit and retired. Ebony: I was like I'll just sit... [laughs] Cool! Well thank you so much sorry for answering all of these questions. Sorry for all of the glitter.
