Gabrisapiens - Sound Prejudice

Well guys... I wanted to say something that I've seen that happend a lot Many drummers, that bought his drums... then, they are complaining about the sound is not good... and they wanted to change the drums heads and all that stuffs... NOOOOO!!! Is for a rysun.... "A WHAT!?..." A "Reason" Many drummers, especially those who are starting... believe that when they get the new drumkit, take it out of the box and set up... Is going to sound like his favorite band´s drummer... And is not. Do i said it right?.... Am very sorry to tell you that this is not... So many people think that this is.....NOT! Is not like this. Youave... You have to remember that when this drums.... You have to remember that when this drums are recorded in the studio, for a CD obviously... the sound pass through a lot of processes that ends in the final result of the CD... and the drums sound very different than your ears captures... Capicci? (Understand?) With all this i say that you have to learn... To listen your drums, to love it, just how it sounds... Be cause the drums will never....acoustically, will never sound like a recorded drum. "It´s ok to try to improve the sound knowing the limits.... changing the drums heads for example" I think this is the idea... SECOND TRY... When the drummes buy... a *** like this... a *** like this... a *** like this... take it out of the box, and play... So many think that the drum is going to sound like the favorite band´s CD.... And is not like this guys.... The drums will sound ugly to the ears... will sound horrible, will sound "bad"... will sound with a lot of harmonics, and the... of the... ...PUAGH!!! You have to remeber that the drumkit depends of a lot of things.... Depends of the sizes, the wood, the heads... the tune.. the space or place where is set it and played... and obviously, the player... No one should expect that the drums, TO THE EAR, sounds like a CD...nope If you want to hear your drums like a CD... you have to record it with mics, mixer and use digital processing and FXs. CAPICCI? Now a short story... Based on real events of my imagination All began in a music store... - Hi, what can i help you? - Hi, what´sup? my name is Gabriel and i... No, no, i have my hands dirty... Tell me, what do you want? Well, i saw that drumkit, and i think is spectacular... Shhht!!! NO!!!....NO... One moment.... This is what you're looking for... - This? - Yes... This drumkit is much better - Why? - "Why?" This drums has been used by greatest drummers, very famous... One of them was... "Dave Wuakatela"... another: "Akira Chimbo"... I can go on... "Felipe Simon", and many other. Thas why i recomment this drums... Cause has been used in a lot of recordings... If you take it, you will sound like a CD. I'll take it!, i want to sound like a CD! Just use your litlle mouth and you'll get whatever you want "Papaito"... Mom, Mom!!!... Look, i want to buy this drumkit because Mr. "Hairyman" says that is very good and i'll sound like a CD... i got another sell. Later at home... What a nice guy that "Mr. Hairyman"... Now, i set up the drumkit and i want to know how it sounds... I think it will sound like this!!!... Let's see how it sound!!!
