Lil Wayne Cried after Hearing 2 Chainz's 'dedication'

Lil Wayne revealed that he actually teared up after hearing the ColleGrove opening track, "Dedication." In an incredible new interview with Genius, the rapper said he has no idea the track was coming from collaborator 2 Chainz. "It just came from nowhere," he said. He goes on to explain how he was in the car with his security detail and a female companion when he asked them to park the car so he could properly listen to the track. "After I started listening to what the lyrics was about, obviously I already tattooed some on my face, but that song made a few more drops. I had to text him right then and there... I don't even know where this came from. This is amazing." Of course, the lyrics he's referring to are when Chainz rapped, "If it wasn't for Wayne, it wouldn't be a lot of dudes in the game including me." What's up guys, for Complex News I'm Emily Oberg. At the beginning of March, 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne released their collaborative project, "ColleGrove". The 13-track album featured previously released tracks like "Rolls Royce Weather Everyday," and "Watch Out." It also featured a track that was a bit more sentimental than the rest, titled "Dedication." On the solo track, 2 Chainz talks about his relationship with Wayne, using some heart felt words to do so. In a recent interview with Genius, Wayne talked about the track and how much it meant to him.
