Hi Everyone, Welcome to today's video, the holiday gift option number ten.
This is Play-Doh Fun with Food Meal Makin' Kitchen set
and it typically retails for $19.99.
However, if you go online to Shop Your Way which is partnered with
retail stores like Kmart, Sears and a couple others
you can actually use points
that can be redeemed for free shipping and a discount off the retail price.
I ended up purchasing this for roughly $18 including tax.
I will make sure to include a link
in the description box. This set comes with 20 moldings, 4 cans and 10 little
recipe cards that give really cute ideas
on how to mold the play-doh into different
food shapes. The colors of the
play-doh that come with the set are brown, green, yellow and white.
As you can see I pre-made some of the food items
because it takes a while to show everything. One of the cutest aspects is that
it's mostly pre-assembled. The entire stove is already together.
You just have to add the backing that holds the utensils back here.
Then you set up the table, which has to moldings underneath,
a rolling pin to keep it up and the backing over here that connects to
the stove.
It's really easy assembly to make this cute little station.
You can also open up the
oven door and there's a molding inside here
where you can make steak or fried chicken.
All you do is put a little bit of play-doh over here and there. When you mash it
together
it will create a perfect 3D shape. I'll show you the pre-made
fried chicken. Here's a little drumstick.
Also, you can move these knobs that say: on and off,
boil and fry. Here's a little frying pan that comes right off the little
stovetop.
Then there's a molding here but I'm not sure what
that's for but I'm sure you can find a use for that kind of shape.
Anyways, here's the frying pan with
some eggs and bacon
along with the cute little spatula.
To make the bacon I just put the brown play-doh in this little molding device
here that you squeeze down.
And then, you have this retractable stencil
that can make different food items. Here it looks like celery.
This one looks like you could probably make yogurt or whipped cream.
And this shape here is used to make the bacon.
That's how I got these little shapes here.
It's got that perfect bend just like bacon.
If you mix the white and brown you can get a little more realistic looking
pieces of bacon.
With the egg all I did was
roll up the play-doh into a little ball and flatten it out with the rolling pin
that's used to hold up the table. Then
just place some yolk on top.
Another piece that's really cute
is this toaster molding device. All you do is: pop it open,
put the play-doh inside, press it down
and it pops up like toast.
I went ahead and made some toast pieces here using the white
play-doh and that's what it looks like.
You can make it a little more
perfect-looking if you want to.
The set comes with a tray
and a plate that gives you room to make a couple of different
little food items. Here's the pizza, where I also used the rolling pin.
From there, I fit the pizza to this plate and used the pizza cutter
to you cut a circular shape and take off the excess.
Then, I just played around with more of the white
play-doh to form the crust. I also used
the molding I showed you earlier
that has the stenciling to make the cheese.
If you take the rolling pin off and
the plate here's the other molding pieces.
I made the broccoli
and the little pepperonis or sausages
out of that circular molding.
to end up with the pizza I just showed you.
Here's the broccoli from the mold. I love how green this play-doh is.
It's a really bright green.
Another cute little feature is the 10 recipe cards.
Four of them are already taken out for you but here you can see
the different images to make tacos, crepes,
toast with jelly, steak, mashed potatoes with gravy and green beans.
On the box there's a couple of a recipe cards that
you could
probably cut out. One for making the pizza.
On the bottom you have how make the bacon
and eggs.
On the inside
of the box on the flap
are two more recipes. One that shows you how to make the
fried chicken, baked potato and carrots.
And another for making a brownie sundae.
Those are the 10 recipes cards.
The last thing that is pretty cool about this little
set is
right behind the stove are these little
hooks to hang utensils like the knife, spoon and fork that are included in the set.
You can also switch them out to hang
other objects that have the little
hole at the end.
If you take out your pieces of
food, you can even hang the frying pan up
while you're using the other items.
So that's everything for this set. Hope you enjoyed this video and might consider
purchasing this
for your children or yourself if you're a toy or play-doh collector.
Thank you for watching and I'll see you next time, bye.
