Hi guys, it's Sarah and I am back in my childhood home for a week so I thought that I would
show you around the place and talk about the things I did in this place as a kid, so join
me as I show you around!
*Intro*
This used to be our laundry door until about 2010. When I was about 14 years old, I had
some friends over for a sleepover, we were rolling up the door (it was one of those ones
that would roll up) and... we broke it. Sorry Mum.
Behind me used to be a cubby house that my Dad built for me when I was about six years
old, it was the coolest thing a six year old could've had but as you can see by the pane
of wood on the shed window... I broke it at one point, *laughs* whoops.
This is the dining room table where I spent a good chunk of my life between the ages of
maybe 11 and 14 because the dial up internet port was down there. So I'd be sat here with
my crappy laptop whenever Mum wasn't using the landline phone, scrolling MySpace and
Twitter even though I wasn't allowed either of them.
Now back here used to be a TV unit that would house my entire childhood, I used to play
the Nintendo64 every day, there were VCRs of the entire first season of Pokemon, things
like that. For all you Australian kids here, I would sit here watching Toasted TV every
morning and whenever I'd leave for school I would VCR record the Winx Club because I
loved that show. ...does anyone else watch that show?
Over in this corner would be where all of my toys would live. I used to be obsessed
with Polly Pockets and the action figures and all that kind of stuff, and me and my
little brother or me and my friends would just sit in this corner, on the mat, and play
with these toys all day... when life was so much easier!
And underneath this pool table would be where most of my childhood blanket forts have been
made! It's also where I sleep at night when a cyclone would come and threaten to take
off the whole second story of my house.
And this is the garage, where on weekends my brother and I would bounce balls and try
to hit a chalk target on the wall which you can actually still see if you look closely,
even though it's been over ten years since we made them.
One of the most embarrassing things that I used to do was that I used to sit completely
butt naked on the toilet with the door wide open while reading a book because it was hot
with the door closed apparently? And when I did close the door when I went to the toilet,
I used to scratch off the paint on the door. I would scratch off the paint to somehow make
little characters which I would then make stories with, but these days it doesn't really
resemble anything at all. Needless to say, my Mum really hates me for that one.
How did this thing up here get on my roof, you say? Well I used to have bunk beds along
this wall and when I would be on the top bunk, I'd just have this up there... for no good reason.
Now it's only fitting that we finish now we're back in my room, so did you enjoy that? Did
you enjoy seeing all of the embarrassing things I did in my childhood and the places in my
home that correlated with that? We went on a trip down memory lane today and
I'm not too sure if I enjoyed it, but it happened. I hope you enjoyed this video, if you liked
it, let me know, subscribe to my channel if you haven't already and I will see you next
week. Bye!
*Outro* You know those situations, when someone's
all: "Hey, what's been going on?"
And you're all: "Good thanks."
*Crickets* ...Yep, that's me.
