Hello, today I will show you
how to compse an email.
attach a file, document or picture to an email
and send a email. First thing, I like to do is
I am using Google, gmail for this assignment.
And to compose email and you want to send an email to someone,
you want to always in gmail, click the work Compose.
And you have to know the persons email address
So, I jsut going to use a sample, which is my email address.
I use djones and if you notices, If you have
that contact email address already in your contact,
it will automatic popup.
So, instead of using the one I am already using,
I am going to use my personal email. That one is for school.
And you want to make sure you know the email address. One thing I teach my students
is if they are having problems with their flash drive or they forget
their flash drive, to send a document that they are using,
or creating in class, or they didn'f finish the assignment.
to email it to themselves. So one thing I would like for them to know
is how to send a document and a lot of students do not know
how, even some adults do not know how, to attach a file to a document.
So, right now they have to have the email address they are going to send it to.
So, they need to always have a subject, you always have a subject when you are
composing an email. This is a test.
Test run. Then, you always want to give it a body
In your body, you want to type the message to who every
you maybe sending the email address too.
You never want to type in Capital letters. That's like you are screaming.
Sometimes you need to make sure, you know email etiquette
and that's just a sound bit for that. Never type in capital letters.
So, I just going to send this as a test run

So, now that I have me email set and subject line
and my information. Now, I need to
if I want to send a document or a picture
so, I am going to attach a picture and a file.
I am going to show you mulitple ways and different things you can add.
So, right hear you see a paper clip and is say attach files
So, you click on the paper clip.
And now, I am going to my EDU
One thing you want make sure that I tell my students, is arrange your files, so you will know where things are.
So, I am going to click on documents
And, I have a foldr for this class which is my masters for 2014
So, I click on that and I go to EDU and I am just going to select a file that I have in there.

And lets send this frame here, that's a picture. So, I attach that.
And if you notice how it is running. You can see the blue line. So, it's tell you it is 391K.
Which is kilobytes.
So, I am going to attach it, not that is a picture.
Ok, now I am going to attach a document
So, you click back on the paper clip
And, I just going to click on reply to Shannon that I did.
So, I am going to click open.
So, now you have two document. You have a word document and you have a picture.
And you can send multiple documents, pictures along within your email.
Now, if i want to send another one you just attach it again.
And, I will send a reply to Wanda. Then open it again.
Just want to give you an example of how to do it. Ok, repetition is the best way of learning.
So, now you have three documents. Now say if you want to insert a picture using a picture.
But my main concern is how to compose an email?
How to insert attachment files and then sent your information.
So, now once you have all the information together and every thing that you need within your email
Then, you hit the word send, so I sent it.
Now, one thing I always is that a message will pop up in google, saying your message has been sent. View your message.
You can click on it to see and it was sent.
It shows you exactly what you send (sent), to the person.
So, this is my frame I used from one of my videos.

Also, I tell my students to make sure and if they forget to click on the view
They can also go back to the sent mail button.
So, if someone say Mrs. Jones, I didn't receive your email
Then, I would go my sent and I would check and see until I would look at the date
Like today is 3:54 pm
It shows test run and it tells me everything, I sent.
So, that way if the students said they sent me something then, I willl asked them to go
and check their sent mail and this is another valuable tool,
for you send important documents. If you want make sure someone say they didn't recieve it
go back, forward it to them they will see the date and time you sent the document.
