This is Jordan again presenting to you some of the most frequently asked questions and we are doing this para po sa mga Pilipino na naghahanap ng online job, na nagkaroon ng idea – they know that online jobs exist and they want to apply in one and they see there is a chance to excel and make a career out of an online job. So let’s start the ball rolling with this short video on one of the most common questions and the most basic question as well. What is an online job? I mean, just think about it. We are so used. Dito po sa Pilipinas, we are so used to a typical job where you go to an office. For example you go to a factory line if you are working in a factory or if you are an office employee, pumapasok ka sa isang opisina. So how can this work? So parasaiba, hindi nila, mai-connect because they see the internet as something they play with. They go on the internet – they play online, they talk on Skype with their friends, they do Facebook and Twitter. Internet, for them, is for fun and games. So how does it work na dito pala sa internet is “I can have a job”. Well, it is true. Online jobs are real and if you are thinking how this happens, we will answer that in the coming videos and of course in this video as well. Now, paralang maintindihan natin in a VERY simple answer of what is an online job, an online job is where you work for an employer for another country mostly from the United States or the United Kingdom doing tasks that can be done on a computer and over the internet. So ganoon po ka-simple ang online job. Iyan po ay naka-base sa outsourcing industry, it’s the same industry that powers the call center industry. American companies would hire Filipinos to answer client calls for them ditto sa Philippines. Now the concept of that is outsourcing because companies would like to pay Filipinos who are very good in English, they will pay them a smaller amount compared sa doon sila mag-ha-hire sa kanilang bansa. An online job is based on that similar concept. There are employers from another country, karaniwan nyan ay sa America at sa United Kingdom, they want to hire Filipinos who will be working from their home, they have their own computer, they have a stable internet connection and they hire them to do a lot of tasks for them. Pwede naman depende sa skills ng isang iha-hire kung ano ang pwede nyang magawa. However, I would like to emphasize this - the online job is kind of different from call centers. Mayroon tayong mga online job that would require you to call people up but hindi kagaya ng call center na you have to really call and talk to people the whole time. There are online jobs na ginagawa yan. Pero ditto sa Online Job Site Philippines, we don’t have a lot of those kinds of jobs na you have to call or do sales calls or receive calls like in the call center industry. Kino-kompara lang natin sya that an online job, kaya sya nagkakaroon ng existence because there are real employers that are looking for Filipinos. The one exciting thing about this is, alam mo naman ang mga Pilipino, ang gusto ay stable income, they want to know that the income is stable, there are some people who have been inviting different kinds of businesses. Sabi nila, “Oh you enter and you come with me in this online job.” Eh pag ikaw naman ay sumama, ano ho ba ang aking gagawin dyan sa online job? “You have to recruit people! You have to pay and you have some kind of business package and for you to earn, you need to do some kind of networking.” So yung pag kita po ng gantong klaseng negosyo ay naka-base sapag-invite mo sa mga friends mo or whoever you want to invite there and they invest as well and then you earn. You know, that is NOT an online job! With all due respect to those people na nag mamarket ng ganoong klaseng business, you know, those people are earning – we respect that and sometimes nakakairita lang sya ng konti when you get tagged and spammed, pero naisip mo naman, naintindihan naman natin sila because they are just doing their job. What caught my attention is they are offering their business opportunities, their networking business, on the internet as an online job. That is very confusing. Ang totoong online job is you have an employer, ang online job na binebenta ng iba, it’s not an online job…it’s an online business, you can call it that. That’s great; your income is based on commissions. A real online job is your salary is based on your skills, on the service that you do – it’s regular, and there is an employer – employee relationship. You are really working for a real person a real company who will give you a regular salary. At yanang gusto ng Pilipino, hindi po ba? Ang magkaroon ng isang regular napagkukuhanan ng panggastos sa ating mga pamilya. So an online job, if you found one that is real, is not some kind of commission-based thing. You WILL get paid based on salary because you will be hired by a real employer from the US or UK. Ngayon, ano ba yung mga online jobs that are commonly being sought for by employers sa mga bansa na yan? One of the most in-demand online jobs is and English Article Writer. Why is this important? Marami po sa mga employers na yan, they market online – they have a website, they do some kind of online marketing. Online marketing is based on having fresh content – fresh and good articles. And this is why, if they hire a writer doon sa kanilang bansa, they will have to pay higher. Pero if they will hire a Filipino who will be working from home, who has their own internet connection and could write good English, then they will more likely hire that person because they will be hiring that person at a quarter of a rate compared to the person they will hire in their own country. Now another good thing about an English writing job is this, we have some emails coming in and they ask, “Jordan, you know, I think I am good in English. The problem is I can’t apply in a call center because I don’t have the American accent.” But he is good in English! He knows how to write English, he knows how to identify kung tama or mali yung kanyang grammar pero hindi lang sya marunong magsalita like an American. Sa call centers, you have to speak like that, otherwise if they find out that you are calling from the Philippines some of them will get angry and we know that for a fact. The good news is, kapag ikaw ay magaling magsalita ng English, but don’t really have that skill in speaking, if it’s not your forte, if you don’t have the American accent that they are looking for, you CAN work in an online job, you CAN be an English article writer and you can be hired, so that’s one good thing. Good news sa mga magaling mag-English but just don’t want to talk. Another one is search engine optimization. You’ve probably heard about this, it’s helping websites rank in the search engines in Google. Now, there might be some of you who are listening right now, “Oh! That’s very technical, parang hindi sa akin iyan.” Hold your horses; don’t jump into conclusions kasi pwede naman po iyan matutunan. You know, if you want to learn SEO, honestly speaking it is a technical field. But the basics, with the proper coaching from us, with the proper training and motivation from you, the proper mind set, SEO could be for you. Another job that is in demand that you can apply for is Wordpress Management. Now what is WP? You probably heard about that! WP is a blogging software. It’s a content management software na ginagamit po almost 98% of internet marketers. Iyan po ay ginagamit sa mga websites and if I am an employer and I have a company and would hire someone na marunong mag WP management, they are looking for Filipinos. Again, why? Filipinos are good in English, they are easy to communicate with and compared to other countries, their salary is not that expensive and the level of skill is absolutely world class. Kasi po ang mga Pilipino ay very good workers, iyan po ang sabi ng mga employers na nakakausap namin. That’s why if you have experience in coding or website design or PHP/ HTML. Hey! WP Management could be the thing for you. Question, “Paano kung walaakong experience diyan?” Well of course, kung hindi iyan ang specialization mo, not your course or not your skill mababawasan ang chances mo kase mahihirapan kang maintindihan yung other parts ng website like coding. However, there are very basic skills that you can learn how to handle WP. And again, if you have the right motivation, pwede ho iyan matutunan and it could be trained. Another online job that is in demand today is yun pong social media and content marketing. Now yun pong social media – yan po yung Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube, Digg, etc.Taposung content marketing po, iyan yung mga articles nasinusulat. It could be promoted, marketed, create traffic in a website. Those kinds of jobs are in demand currently and employers are looking for Filipinos who they can take and hire for these jobs.
