High Risk Youth Escape through Hip Hop Music

An 8 week long programme comes to an end today,
a program aimed at removing youths from negative environments
through the art of hip hop music.
This evening,
youths will get the chance to shine as they showcase their work.

K Soul presents The Balance showcase.
This initiative was created by Te Karanga Trust
to answer the calls of at risk youths.
Zhara Rose is one of the high-risk youths in the programme
who's found the light within her.
They have been mentored by their tutors for 8 weeks
learning stuff like this,
while also looking at the issues that they all face.
I want to acknowledge Pip Hartley and Kyle Pops
for their hard work in this programme
so that people like me can sing.
