DERRICK: I'm Dr. Derrick DeSilva, and I'm joined today by Dr. Victor Shabanah. We are
part of the medical team here at AAG Health. Dr. Shabanah, when somebody comes in, we have
a patient that comes in, can you just go through the protocol, the evaluation; what do we go
through as far as blood tests and things like that, for the patient?
VICTOR: Before even the blood testing, we answer a questionnaire online. Then the blood
testing is done, and the blood testing is important because there are many things in
clinical medicine that unless you test for a certain uh test, you have no way of know-such
as for example, level of homocysteine. Or vitamin D level, for that matter. So it's
important to have a very thorough uh list of lab tests to do and in fact, it's wise
to do that before the final or official consultation, so you have all that information before.
DERRICK: Now, let me ask you, what about hormones? Do we-uh is that part of the program that
uh-
VICTOR: Yes. Yes.
DERRICK: I mean, we do look at the hormones.
VICTOR: Absolutely. All the levels of hormones, even more than most endocrinologists would
look for. And then the consultation, the most important part of it is to listen to what
the client is telling you. Because to me, I want to know everything that's bothering
them, mentally and physically, because the whole mission is to correct every single one
of them. And when you do that, then they stay young and healthy for life.
DERRICK: And we have a uh wellness coach that they see. Uh and-and our wellness coach will
follow up with them, will answer other questions with them. We do some other uh testing.
VICTOR: Yes.
DERRICK: We do the ligascan [PH], that looks at people's minerals, we-they look at their
heavy metals.
VICTOR: Yes.
DERRICK: It looks at oxidative stress. What are some of the other tests that we do?
VICTOR: Uh, there is a carotid ultrasound, which is nice to have. Uh, there is also um
an in-body machine that analyzes the um composition of the body as far as amount of water, uh
percentage body fat, many other uh helpful information. In addition to the fact that
you have follow up labs, to keep an eye on the levels of the hormones that you're uh
adjusting to a better uh or more favorable level. Although here again, the most important
thing is are we reversing all of the client's initial issues?
DERRICK: So it isn't just about testing?
VICTOR: No, and I think the most important part, and where we are distinguished more
than any other clinic doing the same thing, is the interactive nature of dealing with
the clients, because even if they feel their best, doesn't mean it's going to stay that
way. So you have-it's our responsibility to make sure that they're feeling their best
all the time.
DERRICK: Absolutely. Thank you so much for joining us today.
VICTOR: You're welcome. Thank you.
DERRICK: And folks, once again, a fully integrative approach; diet, nutrition, exercise, supplements,
and hormones if you need it. Thank you very much for joining us today.
