What does it mean to "embrace the amateur"? Hi Folks, theunguru here Embracing the amateur But what does that mean? Well, the word itself comes from the root "to love" or "lover of" So for me "Embracing the amateur" means ... To do things "For the love of". Now I'm not the best at anything much But whatever it is I'm doing Whether it's Gaming Books TV Shows Kettlebells Music Beer Rugby Films Or Food! I never want to stop doing them, "For the love of" "Embracing the amateur" is Doing something funny as a parent just to hear your kids laugh It's smelling the butter sizzling in the pan It's seeing a beautiful moment, And taking a photo, Or writing a poem, Or just retelling the moment to capture it It's the simple joy we get from sharing our lives with one another It's the love of doing what you are doing And to me that's what "Embracing the amateur" is all about So come and join me on this journey Along with Gaston and FitzSimmons the Budgies And probably a few of our Cats, Rabbits and Ducks every now and again This is theunguru Spreading the word of doing things, "For the love of" So let's go forth and embrace the amateur!
