Welcome to Manchester!
Hello I'm Caroline, I'm 27, I come from France.
Hello, I'm Lee from South Korea, I'm 23 years old.
Manchester is amazing. It's a very nice city,
very beautiful and there is a lot of things to do.
The people in Manchester are very friendly
so I love Manchester.
The teachers, they're really good teachers.
They are young and they are so friendly
and they understand us. They motivate us to study English.
We have a very diverse group of teachers.
All the teachers are really well qualified
and they have a range of experience.
Most of us have actually taught abroad
so we're really used to dealing with different nationalities.
The school is brand new. We've got new equipment,
interactive whiteboard in every single classroom.
All the classrooms are really generously sized
and flooded with light,
and many of them overlook Manchester city centre.
We've got a study centre, we've got a multimedia centre
so lots of technology.
There are two options that students choose
for accommodation here: staying with a host family
or staying in a student hall of residence.
If a student chooses to stay with a host family
then they will experience British family life,
British food and it's a great opportunity for them
to practice their English at home of course.
Alternatively if a student chooses a residence,
then they'll get a bit more independence,
they'll get locations that are very close to the city centre.
The residence I think is the better choice for me
because I can live alone, I can cook for myself,
so that is better for me.
And the residence is very near, very close to the school.
And you can meet a lot of students from everywhere in the world.
The location of this school is very central
because we are just near Piccadilly Gardens.
And Piccadilly Gardens is the place where there is everything,
shopping, transport, it's very nice.
One thing that's amazing in Manchester is the big wheel.
That is very, very nice.
This is amazing, You can see everything in Manchester.
It's really lovely but a little bit scary, a little bit.
I don't like heights.
Kaplan organized the Old Trafford tour.
The guide told us the history of Manchester United,
and also you can see the changing room
and this really big stadium.
You can sit on the players' seat,
I can imagine the feeling of players.
It was a really good experience for me.
The Trafford Centre is very, very famous in Manchester.
You have to go there.
You need a lot of time to visit every shop in this place
because I think it's the biggest shop in Western Europe.
There is everything, jewellery, clothes shops.
I love shopping and Trafford Centre is the place for me.
In Manchester there are really good restaurants
for going out with my friends.
It's really nice to sit around a table with your friends
and drinking together.
And Manchester is very famous for its night life.
You can go to different night clubs, you can dance,
you can meet a lot of people.
Manchester, it's a lively place.
When I arrived here I was intermediate level,
but in three months I just went through up to the advanced class.
It's really helpful for my future
because I want to get a Master degree in the UK.
Kaplan was really helpful for my improving English
and it will be really helpful for my future.
